I’ve always believed that crafting doesn’t need to be perfect or expensive to be full of meaning. Some of the most treasured things I’ve ever made came from scraps, off-cuts, or from a piece found at the back of a cupboard. To me, it’s never about having the right supplies it’s about using your imagination, trusting your hands and getting quietly lost in the doing of it.

That spirit was planted early. I spent many of my childhood days with my grandmother, a woman who, while a little brusque with others, always softened for me. We’d sit together at her kitchen table, old biscuit tins between us, always filled with buttons, lace and string and always too, filled with Nan’s delicious buns. The scent of baking was often in the air, a quiet comfort that made everything feel just right. There was no fuss. No big instructions. Just the quiet rhythm of hands moving, ideas forming and time gently passing. I think I learned then that crafting wasn’t just about making something, it was about how it made you feel while you made it.

That same feeling is what I hope to pass on through every video I create. I want you to feel like you’ve stepped into a slower moment, where it’s okay to pause, try something new and enjoy the process for its own sake. You don’t need fancy equipment or a basket full of fresh supplies. You just a little curiosity and a willingness to make do.
