Places to Stay

I am lucky enough to live in the beautiful village of Liphook, set in rural Hampshire close to both Surrey and West Sussex borders. Our home is nestled in a small quiet hamlet deep in the South Downs National Park yet close enough for easy access to the A3 motorway. I am happy to personally recommend the following three places for overnight stays should you wish to turn your visit into a relaxing getaway…

Sussex Meadow

Old Thorns Hotel& Resort

Champneys Luxury Health Spa – Forest Mere

Located approximately 6 miles from me in South West Surrey is the historic and charming market town of Haslemere. The town is surrounded by stunning countryside and one of the gems of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Having had the privilege of living a great deal of my adult life there, I have dined out although not stayed at both of the following hotels…

The Lythe Hill Hotel

Harpers – Haslemere

Another beautiful market town Petersfield, is approximately 8 miles from me and well worth a visit or stay. The town, situated below the northern slopes of the South Downs, lies wholly within the South Downs National Park. There is a railway station with a direct line to Portsmouth, another area well worth exploring. Again, I have not stayed at either of these hotel suggestions myself.

Premier Inn Petersfield Hotel

The Old Drum

And finally several ladies who have already attended my workshops have enjoyed overnight stays at The White Hart at Holybourne which is situated approximately 15 miles from my home and is an enjoyable half hours drive through the countryside and local villages.

There are also many more options for overnight stays at all these locations to be found on Booking.com and other hotel search websites should you decide to join me for a Creative Day and stay a while longer exploring and enjoying these beautiful areas.
